HiT4EMR is a groundbreaking project launched by HiT4, an online community of Health Informatics Students. It all began as a student project within George Brown College’s Health Informatics Program, with a mission to support students in learning, staying connected, and networking in the digital health space. The driving force behind this initiative is the recognition that many Health Informatics programs lack access to a legacy Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for students to use as a learning tool. Consequently, graduates from these programs often enter the healthcare field without a comprehensive understanding of the clinical workflow involving EMR systems.
